In January 2021, 25 pieces/sets of material objects for fighting against the pandemic of NGP, including the "Mobile Emergency Smart Pharmacies for TCM", ended up in permanent collections of the National Museum of China.
Collection: Model of the "Mobile Emergency Smart Pharmacy for TCM"
(Collection No. 1-2)
In the national fight against COVID-19 in 2020, NGP deployed 28 "Mobile Emergency Smart Pharmacies for TCM" and 138 willing volunteers to the front line of the pandemic who were engaged in such fight for nearly 90 days. In more than 350 hospitals and organizations, the "Mobile Emergency Smart Pharmacies for TCM" distributed more than 500,000 doses of TCM formula granules in total and donated TCM formula granules and materials for pandemic prevention amounting to more than RMB 38 million.
The "Mobile Emergency Smart Pharmacy for TCM" is a vehicle-mounted automatic machine for delivery of TCM formula granules, has been granted a national patent. It is mobile and able to operate independently, and has a complete storage of drugs in limited space, with nearly 400 kinds of Chinese herbs available for delivery. The TCM formula granules that need not to be decocted were dispensed according to doctors' prescriptions in a smart way for patients taking with water.
In this emergency relief against COVID-19, NGP effectively expanded the service scope of hospitals and relieved the shortage of doctors and medicines so that more people received highly-efficient, fast and convenient TCM prevention and treatment.
Collection: TCM formula granules for pandemic prevention

TCM formula granules are made of single TCM decoction pieces by water extraction, separation, concentration, drying and granulation and dispensed according to a TCM clinical prescription under the guidance of TCM theories for patients taking with water, and have targeted and stable efficacy. By the end of April 2020, NGP has distributed more than 500,000 doses of TCM formula granules in total and made great contributions to the pandemic prevention, which were well received by doctors and patients.

After the outbreak, NGP urgently established a mobilization meeting for emergency assistance. With the first "pass for vehicles transporting emergency materials and staff for COVID-19 prevention and control" numbered "0001" issued by the Department of Transportation of Sichuan Province on January 26th, the first batch of volunteers set off on the same night with the "Mobile Emergency Smart Pharmacies for TCM", and arrived at Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital with the first batch of TCM medical teams.

The makeshift hospital in Jiangxia District is the first makeshift hospital in Wuhan for clinical treatment and management operating in the mode of TCM hospital. This makeshift hospital was in operation for 26 days from February 14, 2020 to March 10 and received 564 patients-times, procuring "no single patient turned critically ill or was re-tested positive" and no medical work "got infected". That was a valid justification of the curing power of TCM. The "Mobile Emergency Smart Pharmacy for TCM" of NGP was put into use upon arrival at the makeshift hospital in Jiangxia District on February 14 and served till the last moment with medical teams.

"Huoshenshan" and "Leishenshan" hospitals were built in only 10 days and were miracles of China created during the pandemic. The "Mobile Emergency Smart Pharmacies for TCM" of NGP were put into use in Huoshenshan Hospital on February 14 and Leishenshan Hospital on February 20. NGP volunteers held fast to their posts with medical workers until the last moment of closing down. On March 10, the closing day of the makeshift hospital in Jiangxia District, a group photo of President Liu Qingquan and the NGP volunteer team was taken at the gate of the makeshift hospital in Jiangxia District.
At the closing, President Liu Qingquan said: the pandemic broke out all in a sudden. TCM has played an effective role. Medical treatment is critical, while medicines are more critical. Without medicines, everything will be in vain. We treat illness, and you provide medicines, which is a great contribution to overcoming the pandemic, thank you!
